In addition, the conveying specifications had to be met, which required the use of ultra-modern motors with energy efficiency class IE 5 for fans and IE 4 for pumps. Despite these challenging conditions, the project was completed without any delays.
By modernizing the ventilation systems at Rohleder, we were not only able to significantly reduce operating costs, but also make an important contribution to sustainability. The project impressively demonstrates how close cooperation on an equal footing leads to outstanding results.
Customized solutions: Scope of delivery and implementation by airinotec
airinotec's service package included the comprehensive modernization of the ventilation systems. This included the use of state-of-the-art, energy-efficient drive technology, the replacement of sensors and actuators and the conversion of the previous pneumatic control system to a customized PLC control system. As part of the project, the old motors were replaced with innovative permanent magnet motors that guarantee maximum energy efficiency in accordance with class IE 5.
The implementation of the project was precisely planned with production processes in mind: In order to avoid a production standstill, the work was carried out specifically in the cooler spring months, when the climatic demands on the plant were lower. Despite the challenging delivery times for the permanent magnet motors, the project was completed on schedule. The combination of energy-efficient components and intelligent control now not only enables Rohleder to meet strict funding criteria, but also ensures considerable savings in operating costs - a benefit for the environment and profitability.
